Music Ministry

Resurrection Music offers a variety of music programs for people of all ages. From children to youth to adults, there is an opportunity for everyone to share their musical gifts.

 

Celebration Choir sings at the Traditional Service at 8:15 a.m. from September to June. Rehearsals are held Wednesday nights from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. High school youth and adults are welcome to join in singing a variety of music styles.

 

Praise Team sings at the Praise Services at 9:45 a.m. and 11:15 a.m. Rehearsals are held Wednesday nights from 8:00 to 9:00 p.m. (semimonthly during summer months). Singers who read music or learn music quickly are welcome to join the Praise Team. A keyboard, drums, guitars and other percussion instruments accompany the singers and lead the congregation.

 

Summer Choir sings at 8:15 a.m. on designated Sundays June through August. Rehearsals are held at 7:45 a.m. to learn a fun, easy song to share at that day’s service. All ages are welcome!

 

Alleluia Choir is an opportunity for children in kindergarten through grade 5 to grow in their faith through music. The choir meets Wednesday from 6:15 to 6:45 p.m. from September to May to sing new music, play musical games and rhythm instruments and share Bible stories. The choir participates in worship frequently during the year.

 

Resurrection Bells is an adult handbell group with a five-octave range of Schulmerich handbells. Rehearsals are held Thursdays 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. from September to May. For more information, contact Helen Phelps, Director, Worship & Music Ministries, at 770-953-3193 x15.

 

Joyful Noise Chime Choir is a chime choir for grades 1 through 5 that teaches musical skills through the sounds of chimes. Rehearsals are held Thursdays 5:30 to 6:15 p.m. from September to May.
