Sunday Schedule
Lutheran Church of the Resurrection offers two worship services as well as education opportunities each Sunday:
Traditional Service 8:15 a.m. with Holy Communion
The Traditional Service is based on our Lutheran heritage and incorporates a traditional liturgy with hymns led by the organ along with the Celebration Choir. The Word is proclaimed through scripture readings, a children’s message and a sermon presented by Pastor Dave Helfrich. We welcome all people to receive God’s gift of forgiveness and mercy through the nourishment of Holy Communion. The body and blood of Christ is received through bread and wine each Sunday around the altar at kneeling rails. Grape juice is also available.
Praise Service 9:45 a.m. with Holy Communion
The Praise Service reflects a more contemporary expression of the Lutheran liturgy through music and message. The Word is proclaimed through scripture readings, a children’s message and a sermon from Pastor Dave Helfrich. Our Praise Team shares God’s Word through music with a team of vocalists and instrumentalists including guitarists, pianists, drummers and other percussionists. The Gathering 9:45 a.m. (The Gathering Room)
Each Sunday, The Gathering offers adults and children a time to learn from one another and grow in faith together before Sunday School. The 15-minute, interactive sessions are led by adults and youth and integrate short videos, skits, scripture readings, songs and other activities.
