SMALL GROUP KICK-OFF – February 19
Mark your calendar for the Small Group Kick-Off on Sunday, February 19 after the 11:00 a.m. service. We’ll enjoy BBQ and have the opportunity to spend time in fellowship with our small groups. Please RSVP through your group leader or on the signup in the Narthex.
LUTHERAN DAY AT GA TECH – February 25 (2:30 p.m.)
Join us for Georgia Tech v. University of Maryland at Phillips Arena to support Lutheran Services of Georgia. Tickets are $30 each. Or join us on February 11 for Gwinnett Gladiators (minor league hockey) v. Chicago. Tickets are $15 each. For more information, see details on the bulletin board outside The Gathering Room.
LENTEN PRAYER TIME – February 29 (7-7:30 a.m. and 5-5:45 p.m.)
Want to increase your prayer time and build your relationship with Jesus Christ? Beginning on Wednesday, February 29th and continuing until Holy Week, the sanctuary will be open for all to come for quiet time with the Lord. For more information, contact Vicar Terri at 770.953.3193 ext. 18.
DANCERS NEEDED FOR LENT – February 29
We are looking for dancers age 10 and older to perform at the Lenten service on Wednesday, March 28th 7:00 p.m. The liturgical dance will be taught by Karen Albrecht. For more information or to volunteer, contact Karen Albrecht or Vicar Terri. Professional dance experience not required.
FAITH WALKS – March 14 (9 a.m.)
The Faith Walks resume March 14 and continue each Wednesday through May 16. "40 Ways To Get Closer to God" will guide our devotions as we seek to enhance our love of God and put our faith into action. Join us at the park at the end of Columns Drive. HUNGER WALK – March 11 (12:15 p.m.)
Join the Lutheran community to help people experiencing poverty and hunger. Last year, over 500 Lutherans raised more than $75,000 to benefit Atlanta Community Food Bank and LSG Food & Shelter programs. How can you participate? Walk! Our goal is 25 walkers. Or sponsor! BUNKO FOR CAMPUS OUTREACH – April 28 (evening)
Are you ready for a night of fun? Join us Saturday evening for an adult evening of Bunko with a silent auction. Donate your items or your talent for a good cause. Use your imagination to create the ideal auction item – ideas include a business, talent for handmade goods or other items (i.e. lakehouse, tickets, etc.). WOW MISSION TRIP – June 24-29
This summer, we are headed back to Knoxville for another urban ministry experience. Win Our World (WOW) is a 5-day exploration of faith formation, leadership development and hands-on mission work with the homeless and less fortunate in Knoxville, Tenn. The program is open to youth who have completed Grades 6-12. The registration fee is $235 per person. The first deposit ($50) is due February 14. For more information, contact Andrea Roche.
