Milestones

Connect the dots! Faith formation is a lifelong journey filled with memorable milestones. Our focus is to create intentional connections between these milestones for our children and youth throughout their faith passage. Some of these milestones include Baptism, Bible Presentation, First Communion, Confirmation and High School Graduation

Baptism

In infant Baptism, God freely offers his grace, washing away our sin and adopting us into His family. We equip new parents to live out their baptismal promise through our Splash Ministry. Designed for families of newborns through children age 3, this resource offers ideas for faith-filled play, worship, meals and prayers.

Bible Presentation

At Baptism, parents promise to place the Holy Scriptures in their children’s hands. To support parents in their promise, we present Bibles to all children in Grade 1 and older who have not yet received a Bible. We also encourage parents to transform their child’s Bible from a “church” Bible into a “family” Bible. We also pair each Bible recipient with an older youth or adult member of the congregation who will pray for them throughout the year.

First Communion

In Holy Communion – often referred to as the Lord's Supper or Eucharist – those who come to the table receive bread and wine as the resurrected body and blood of Jesus Christ. We invite families with children of all ages to participate in Communion instruction to discover the gift of God's forgiveness and mercy.
