High School Youth

High School students celebrate God’s love and their discipleship through a variety of experiences designed around faith formation, leadership development, service and fun!

High School Bible Study

On Sunday morning, high school students gather in the Youth Pavilion to discover how the Bible is relevant to their daily lives. On Wednesday evenings, they come together for an informal time of worship and Bible Study on various topics impacting our youth.

Summer Activities

There’s something for everyone! Our summer program offers a variety of activities that encourage youth to deepen their faith and build leadership skills.

  • Win Our World 2011 (WOW 2011)
Once again, our youth will head to Knoxville for another awesome urban ministry experience at WOW – a mission trip that offers much more. It’s 5 days of faith formation, leadership development activities and lots of hands-on mission work with the homeless and those less fortunate. Available to youth who have completed grades 6-12. Registration: $250/person
  • Affirm 2011
You don’t want to miss Affirm 2010! Youth from Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi and Tennessee join together for a five-day youth event of faith, fellowship and leadership development sponsored by the ELCA Southeastern Synod. Available to youth grades 6-12. Registration: $375/person. Scholarship assistance is available.
  • Lutheridge/Lutherock
Lutheridge and Lutherock offer summer camp sessions for children & youth of all ages. Full and half-week sessions are available. Registration begins at $208 for half-week; $392 for week. Scholarship assistance is available.
  • Vacation Bible School
High school youth are encouraged to serve as leaders for our Vacation Bible School program.
  • Retreats
Each year high school youth are invited to participate in offsite retreats. These weekend events are memorable mountaintop experiences where our youth share the love of Jesus Christ and discover their faith in a new light.
  • Small Group Ministry
We encourage high school students to develop closer relationships with fellow Christians through our Small Group Ministry. Most adult small groups are open to our youth, and we encourage our youth to form small groups based on their own interests and passions.
  • Worship
Celebrate with a joyful noise! Each year, our youth work together to plan and lead a Sunday worship service. Youth also have the opportunity to participate in worship year-round by serving as acolytes, greeters, readers, prayer leaders, choir members, ushers and communion assistants.
